Rubies have grown in popularity tremendously in the last ten years, surpassing emeralds. They are now second only to sapphires in most requested. But locating rubies of quality as high as these takes a lot of work.
This is a new design by James Breski. It brings in features like the halo style in the center and the split shank sides. The three rubies have a total weight of 1.23 carats and are surrounded by .44 carats of diamonds. The ring can also be created with sapphires or emeralds.
Did you know that rubies and sapphires are identical gemstones? The only distinction is the color. If the gemstone is medium red or darker, it is considered ruby. If it is light red or pink, it is considered a sapphire.
