Tanzanite was discovered in Tanzania in the late 1960s. It was given its name, Tanzanite, by Tiffany & Co, who agreed to market the new gemstone. It has a similar color to sapphires but includes a touch of purple. The colors range from very pale blue to very intense blue.
This ring is bezel set with an oval tanzanite weighing 1.25 carats. Surrounding the Tanzanite are .25 carats of diamonds. The combination of the low profile and the bezel and channel settings makes this ring very comfortable to wear.
Colored stones are something we have a lot of expertise with. For example, we can explain qualities to you for any colored stone. We can also recommend colored stones that fit your lifestyle. Not every colored stone is safe to wear every day. Some are better suited for pendants and earrings that do not receive the high level of wear and tear that a ring does.
We invite you to visit our showroom in the Riverplace Tower. We carry a beautiful selection of right-hand rings. Our location on the 25th floor will provide you with a view of Jacksonville that you will remember forever.
